Bryan Shepherd and the Northeastern Junior College baseball program signed Andrew Belew of Phoenix Sunny Slope High School.

Belew, a 5-9, 180-pound catcher/utility player also starred as the starting fullback for Sunny Slope football team.

"We're excited to have signed a guy that has the attitude that Andrew has," Shepherd said. "He's the perfect example of a guy who is on a mission to become a better player and a better person using his juco experience. He not only gives us another good defensive catcher, but he provides us an offensive threat with the bat as well."
