The sophomores from all of the Region IX Baseball Teams will be participating in a skills showcase on September 20th in Wichita, KS. Along with being tested on their tools, they will also be given the chance to participate in a North vs. South game that afternoon. Region IX decided to do the showcase in WIchita, to piggy-back with the Jayhawk Conference in attempt to draw more coaches. This was a very successful showcase last year, as there were nearly 50 coaches from 4-year schools and several scouts from professional teams in attendance. The showcase will begin at 9 am with 60yd dash, throws from infield, outfield and catchers. Pitchers who are not throwing in the game will also be throwing a bullpen.
