No. 7 Plainsmen Outrun Otero
Jan. 31, 2007 The Northeastern Junior College men's basketball team moved to 20-1 on Tuesday with a 100-86 victory over Otero. The Plainsmen pushed their conference record to 13-0 with the road victory. Rashad Austin led NJC with 22 points while Mike Dominguez and LaTravis Turner chipped in 18 and 17 points, respectively. Dominguez continued to impress from beyond the three-point arc, hitting 6-of-10 from downtown. Troy Smith had 14 points and five assists while Shane Edwards scored 12. Point-guard Omar Leary handed out a game-high, nine assists. Coach Eddie Trenkle's group takes on Trinidad on Friday at the Bank of Colorado. |
