Plainsmen Destroy Air Force Prep E.F. Warren

NJC stomped Air Force Prep F. E. Warren in its second game of the classic, 113-61. Head Coach Eddie Trenkle's group had four players in double figures scoring. LaTravis Turner had 18 points with seven rebounds while Edwards and Troy Smith poured in 17 and 16, respectively. Rashad Austin chipped in 11 points and five rebounds to round out the scoring leaders. Trenkle's team jumped out to a 65-31 halftime lead and never looked back. The Plainsmen shot 63 percent from the field in the first half, making good on three of the four three-pointers they fired. Sophomore transfer Ochigbo Ameh added nine points and nine rebounds to NJC's attack. Ochigbo grabbed six of his rebounds on the offensive side. |
