The Northeastern Plainswomen advance to the Final Four of the Region IX Tournament with a win over Sheridan College, 81-67. The victory improves the NJC record to 18 wins on the season. Four Plainswomen were in double figures, led by Daria Basova and Muna Nadege who each recorded double doubles. The Plainswomen now advance to Wednesday's semifinal game against Western Nebraska at 5:00 p.m.

The Plainswomen led for most of the first half and made a run right before half time that gave them a 39-28 advantage. NJC came out in the second half firing and held a double digit lead for the rest of the game.

Daria Basova and Muna Nadege both recorded double doubles, scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds each. Chelsea Wilkins had 15 points and dished out 8 assists. Trissilyn Clayton added 15 points and 3 rebounds. NJC outrebounded the Lady Generals by 11, grabbing 51 rebounds compared to Sheridan's 40 rebounds.
