Final Stats

The NJC women's basketball team had four players score in double-figures in the 83-36 beating of Air Force Prep.

Coach Darrel Parker's team moved to 2-0 on the season as they get set to host the NJC Roundball Classic.

The Plainswomen jumped out to a 45-15 halftime lead over Air Force Prep and never looked back.

Daria Basova scored a team-high 14 points while Sarah Connor added 13 for the second straight game.

Kristen Forbes and Jackie Davis scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, while guard Jennifer Garner pulled down a team-high five rebounds.

Marissa Glenn contributed nine points and four rebounds in her first appearance of the season.

The Plainswomen hit 6-of-14 three pointers, but struggled at the free throw line, shooting 57 percent for the game.

"Everybody is learning the speed of the game," Parker said. "These games helped us because next week it gets a little tougher. We'll have to pick it up a notch to compete with Seward."
