The Northeastern Plainswomen finished the 2005-2006 Season with a 18-15 record. Several NJC players were honored with awards. NJC sophomore, Muna Nadege, was named to the All-Region IX team for the season. Muna Nadege and Daria Basova were named to the All-Region IX Tournament team held March 6th-9th in LaJunta, Colorado.

Sophomore, Monique Ross, was honored with the Mike and Gina Brandt Academic Award. This annual award is given to the player who achieves the highest grade point average on the team. Mike Brandt was the former coach of the Plainswomen and created this award to keep up the high academic standards while he was coaching.

Muna Nadege was also honored as the Andi Whitlock Heart Award winner. Andi, a former NJC Plainswomen, was tragically killed in a car accident in 2004. Andi had a great heart and represented hard work, hustle, and great character. Each year a NJC Plainswomen is honored in her name.
