Plainswomen Notch 30th Win

The NJC volleyball team shook off any after effects of the emotional loss at Western Nebraska.

Head Coach Marci Henry's team defeated Otero and Trinidad State en route to its 30th win of the season.

"We played ok," Henry said. "I was pleased to come away with the wins."p The Plainswomen (30-6) took care of business at Otero, winning three games to none.

Addi Radke had 16 kills and five aces. Thais Hollerbach and Tamy Leipelt added 12 and 11 kills, respectively.

Hollerbach led the defense with 12 digs while Radke chipped in 11. Radke contributed four solo blocks to the defensive effort.

Brittany Palmer and Stacy Manweiler collected 20 assists apiece and all 40 of the Plainswomen's assists for the game.

NJC dropped the first game at Trinidad, 30-28. The Plainswomen bounced back to take the next three games; 30-18, 30-28 and 30-19.

Radke stood out on offense with 21 kills coupled with 17 digs on the defensive side.

Hollerbach had 16 kills with 11 digs and three aces, and Jenny Andresen came up with a game-high, 28 digs.

The Plainswomen finish a five-match road swing at McCook on Oct. 17 then at North Platte on Oct. 18.
